Windows 10 users are being urged to update their operating systems due to two critical vulnerabilities.
What it is
Microsoft has said that the vulnerabilities are high risk as they are potentially “wormable.” This means computers can spread viruses and malware without any action on the user’s part.
What you can do now
For Kinetix clients, updates are already deployed to Windows machines. For others, Windows 10 users that have enabled automatic updates are already protected. However, users that update manually should type in “Windows Update” from the system’s start menu search bar to access the tool.
How you can be better prepared
If your organization doesn’t already have a method to centrally deploy updates and patches, that is a high-priority improvement that we’d highly recommend. These operating system updates are important because they often include critical patches to security holes, such as this current one.
